Jesus speaking to John's disciples said: "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment making the tear worse. Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

 Worship has returned to an 11am start.

 

Team members

 

Worship Team Projects

  • NEEDED: People to volunteer during worship as the Children's Moment teacher.
  • Informal evening worship.
  • Children at the Lord's Table- Classes to be held to educate possibly once a year in future. It is recommended, but not required.
  • A search for possible uses of our former communion hardware, such a donating to a needy congregation (maybe in Gowanda).
  • Ash burning service to do again next year.
  • Reaching out to the 38% unchurched in the community with worship that would benefit them.
  •  
    Fire drill lesson for Sanctuary (no actual evacuation)
  • Possible outdoor worship in park on July 4th.
  • A wish list item of an organ overhaul.

  • We are looking for people called to serve this ministry in the 2009-2010 year. Please contact Laura Robinson or any other worship team member if you feel called.

Words from the Worship Ministry Team

As we travel the Lenten Road toward the CROSS & then to Christ’s VICTORY on Easter Sunday, please keep in mind the dates/times of the various worship & activities that will help us remember Christ’s great LOVE for all of us.

During Holy Week we invite you to:

March 28th Palm Sunday begins Holy Week. Come & witness as you enter the

 church doors, the burning of palms to form “ashes” & then discover the connection tothe new palms you’ll receive that morning.

April 1st Maundy Thursday Pot Luck dinner at 6pm followed by WORSHIP at

7:15pm – an intimate communion service starting out in the Sanctuary & quietly moving to the parlor.

April 2nd Good Friday a Tenebrae Worship Service with a unique perspective of

 the events at that time.  

April 3rd 9am the Sanctuary will be adorned with Easter blooms – please come &

 lend a hand!

 April 4th EASTER!         Opportunities to celebrate Christ’s resurrection!  

 

 Sunrise Worship 6:30am at the River’s edge, Fisherman’s Park in NT                 

 *Easter Breakfast 8am in Fellowship Hall                                                                Communion Worship at 10:00am  in the Sanctuary

*An Easter morning breakfast, “no charge”, under the experienced capable hands of Pete Maertin, will again be offered (free-will offering accepted). He welcomes all help so please contact Pete if you can lend a hand. We look forward to his delicious morning fancies!
