Special Opportunities for Learning!

The Christian Education Team is offering several special opportunities for discussion, Bible Study and Discipleship.  We will begin with the following topics but we are planning to continue with more in the future. Please consult your weekly bulletin for dates and times for these video presentations, and future offerings.

A Video Presentation presenting skills and resources about Caring for an Aging Family Member.  This presentation will teach helpful skills for deacons and anyone who visits elderly friends and family. (1 hour)

 A Four Week Presentation on Building Biblical Community with Video presentations by Bill Donahue and Steve Gladen.  The weekly topics are: becoming a Celebrating, Learning, Loving, and Serving Community.  Each week following the class will include personal devotions on each theme to aid in implementing what we learn together into our daily lives. (4 hours total – one hour each week)

Adult Sunday School Bible Study                                       Class Leader, Janet Haacker

       CALLING ALL ADULTS (18+)    interested in an informal study of a series of books that deal with WHAT BELIEVERS CAN DO FOR ONE ANOTHER. The 1^st book in the series is entitled

Building Up One Another written by Gene Getz.

The author in his introduction states that Paul, as the “great first-century church planter, made it crystal clear that the “body of Christ” will never become a growing & dynamic community reflecting Christ’s love unless ‘each part does its work’. Total body function is absolutely essential if a local church is to become all God intended it to be.”

So, how can we & our church become a mature body of believers reflecting the “fruit of the Spirit”? Come & investigate with your “family in faith” what we can do! I guarantee this will make you THINK beyond your everyday understandings of how to be a better Christian!

You are invited to gather on Sunday mornings, 9:30am in the parlor dining room, where, as a group we will read, discuss & learn how God’s Word & direction applies to us today – how we can use the instructions given to the church many, many years ago in our church today! No one is ever “called on” or “put on the spot” – You share when the “Spirit” leads you!

We will begin this study on September 18^th with an introduction & foundation to the series.
