Stewardship
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"
"The most important one," answered Jesus, " is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these." - Mark 12:28-31
Stewardship is an act of love. It does not matter whether it is done through the giving of time, talent, or treasure. All are done out of love for God. This love comes out of our thankfulness for God’s grace in providing for our salvation and for our daily needs. God wants our love just as we want His. Stewardship in all 3 forms is not an admission price that must be paid to enter worship on Sunday nor is it a fee, which must be paid to avoid some sort of penalty. It is done out of gratitude to God and out of concern for the welfare of Jesus’ bride, the church. Please remember not only to love your neighbor, but also to love your God.

Volunteering opportunites
The Outreach is looking for people to transport eager worshipers from the Tonawanda Tower to and from worship on Sunday.
Audio/Visual operators are needed to assist during worship to operate the display screen and volume for the microphones.
Ushering volunteers are always welcome, even when there currently is not an opening.

Court Yard Bench Fund
What nicer a place to reminisce about our past or dream of our future than in the setting of the Memorial Garden. It has been noted that many folks have a fondness for relaxing in the court yard, chatting with friends and greeting a passerby while enjoying the flora that surrounds them. However there aren't many places to sit.
So with that in mind a donation was made in memory of Barbara Wescott with the stipulation that it be used to add a park bench to the Memorial Garden Court Yard. Barb, as much as anyone, enjoyed this cozy niche at First Presbyterian Church.
Other donations have been received for this bench but we are far from meeting our preliminary estimate on the cost of this project. The bench, concrete pad to put it on, and the rerouting of the sprinkler system lines will be approximately $2000.00.
If you would like to make a donation towards this project please indicate “Court Yard Bench Fund” on the check or envelope.
Thank You!
